Small 4to. (18×22 cm). Contemperary full vellum with four raised bands and blind tooloed decorated on the boards. All edges originally cobolt blue, now turning green and a bit faded. Two faded green closing ribbonds (originally blue ?); The upper one intact. Title in old and professional old hand on spine. Some spots and miscolouring at boards and spine, but despite that a very stately binding. Wood cut decoration on title page and a beautiful copper engraving as frontiespiece. Some browing to text and two red old wood clamps to seperate the three parts. Label on front end paper states: “Bibliotheca Fidecomissaria Familiae Risenfelsianae Stabilitæ in Castro Domini Toparchhici Seisenegg Nr. 1481.”
Kommentar: Bachoff (1575-1640), from a German noble family, was a Professor of Philosophy and Jurisprudence and principal of the Univercity of Heidelberg.
