Kommentar: S. Urban is a pseudonym for Edward Cave (1691-1754), founder of G. M. and the publisher and printer. Gentleman’s Magazine (1731-1922) was the first periodical using the word “Magazine”, after the French (Storehouse). With indices: … to the Essays, etc., … to poetry, … of names, … to the register of Books.
