Kommentar: Stumpf began his great work on the psychology of music and tones in 1875. Tonpsychologie I was finally published in 1883. The sec. vol. deals with combinations of tones and reports the results of Stump’s famous experiments on tonal fusion, historically the most important item in the 2 vols.
