Kommentar: The colour plate shows the constructed “salmon ladder” [laksetrapp] in the fos of the Gaula river, an ingenious construction at the time. The illustrator of the cover, however, has made an image of the salmon running an ordinary step-ladder, which of course is an impossible task for a fish.
