Kommentar: Richard Peter (1895 – 1977) was a German press photographer. He was in Dresden after the 13 February 1945 bombing when 1.300 allied planes dropped a total of 3.900 tons of bombs over the city. The pictures of the bombing and subsequent reconstruction were published in this volume.
