Kommentar: Resident Magistrate. Edith Somerville and Violet Florence Ross were Irish authors who wrote several humorous books about Major Yeates, the Irish R. M. together. Many early readers were incredulous that two women could write so effectively about traditionally male sites such as the courtroom and the hunt.
